Although over all has a high rating the negative reviews make it sound very cheaply made. I normally get a stockpot in stainless and look for a thick bottom with a copper core. Since you are heating so much through the bottom its important to have even heat distribution to minimize burning on the bottom. Also not a fan of these Teflon interiors which have been banned in the EU due to toxic health effects. If you don't burn stuff on the bottom stainless is easy enough to clean up and stainless can last a lifetime!
