I tried the Pace 7 recently on deal as my introduction to Dorco products and I just ordered this Pace 6 deal too. I have been a regular Fusion shaver both manual and battery powered, and I can now state from experience that the Pace 7 system is NOT as good as Fusion, but it is still damn good and I will occasionally buy Dorco when on sale such as this one. I'm assuming that the Pace 6 will perform similarly to the Pace 7 so at $1 a blade represent a good deal. I stock up on Fusion blades at under $2 each on sale, so Dorco deals need to be at about $1 for me to make any compromise off the unbeatable performance of Gillette blades. Don't get me wrong, I am impressed by the Pace 7 enough to buy the Pace 6, but must be honest that Fusion is superior if cost not considered.
Note to all cartridge shavers, stropping your blades on your denim jeans absolutely 100% works! Blade makers don't want you to know this little secret, and I had my doubts before I tried it, but I now extend the life of all my blades by stropping and keeping them clean and dry between uses. Even though you can only strop one side of the edge, that is enough to unroll it and even it out to give you a few more decent if not perfect shaving sessions.
Just purchased these (but paid $2 more). They really don't hold a candle to a Gillette Fusion cartridge. The trimmer blade sux and the shaving blades seem to pull more than cut. Don;t get me wrong -they do work but I think I will just buy the fusion at Costco and stop trying to nickle & dime myself for refills.
